How to install Rewrite on macOS
Rewrite is currently an early beta download. That means macOS may ask you to confirm that you want to open the app after installation. This page walks through the full flow.

Quick steps
Download Rewrite
Download the DMG file and open it. Then drag Rewrite into your Applications folder.
Open the app
Go to Applications and try opening Rewrite. macOS may warn that it cannot verify the developer for this beta build.
Approve the app in macOS
If macOS blocks the app, right-click Rewrite and choose Open. If needed, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
Grant Accessibility access
Once Rewrite starts, enable Accessibility permission so it can copy, rewrite, translate, and replace selected text across apps.
Important note
Because Rewrite is currently distributed as an early beta outside the Mac App Store, macOS may ask you to confirm the first launch manually. That is expected. Once approved, the app behaves normally.
